Joseph in wonderland

Who says "the rabbit doesn't love Joseph Beuys anymore?"
Nature as the only source of reconciliation with the self to resurrect hope for a nation scarred by war. This is part of Beuys' environmental art period, when he spent hours in monologue with a dead hare. Having no intention to share his stream of thought with anybody else than the lifeless mammal, spectators were denied the privilege of learning the true explanation behind the artist's works. An amazed crowd watched the genius raging lunatic, covered in honey, fifty dollar bills and gold leaf, march up and down the gallery , from the other side of the glass, muted.
